Laboratory and laboratory support space including Seawater Containment Chambers, Environmental Challenge Research, Environmental Chemistry Research, and Hazardous Material Storage. Laboratories include Fish Culture, Algal Culture, Bioassay, Organic Chemistry, Biohazard, Molecular Biology, Population Genetics, Developmental Biology, Immunology, Genetic Engineering, Electrophoresis, Radiation, Technology Transfer, and Isolation. Research will meet marine research and public health needs by expanding the information base for fisheries and coastal management and developing core scientific expertise to address health issues. The Research Laboratory will work closely with other NOAA components and other Federal and State agencies on fisheries and environmental issues with the objective of rebuilding sustainable fisheries.
