Daniel H. Lopez Chemistry Building

New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology



This new building is home to the Department of Chemistry, and includes teaching laboratories and classrooms on the first floor, and research laboratories and faculty offices on the second floor. Research spaces accommodate a variety of subdisciplines, such as organic/medicinal chemistry, environmental chemistry, physical organic chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry and energetics research. The instructional laboratories on the first floor are supported by a 1,500 nsf chemical stockroom, an NMR lab, and several instrument rooms, providing students with hands-on experience.
