Malcolm Barksdale is the President and founding Principal of RFD. He founded RFD in 1984 with a commitment to providing high quality laboratory design services to a variety of institutional, industry and governmental clients.  Malcolm’s career experience includes urban design and planning, architecture and laboratory building design. At RFD, Malcolm is responsible for company management, client development and project design. He has been personally involved in the design of more than one hundred laboratory buildings throughout the U.S. and around the world. Malcolm is an internationally recognized expert in the field of laboratory planning for biomedical research facilities, having presented at more than 50 conferences on this evolving topic.
