About this project
9,884 NSF of laboratory and laboratory support space in a 22,152 GSF building for the Department of Biology. Facility includes teaching laboratories for Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Zoology, and Botany/Environmental Science. Laboratory support spaces include Biology Prep and Storage, Anatomy Prep and Storage, Cadaver Room, Botany/Zoology Prep and Storage, and a roof-top Greenhouse. Laboratory technicians can access all the laboratories directly from the prep and storage spaces along one side of the building, while a day-lit two story atrium designed with student study and collaboration area fronts the other side and floods the laboratories with natural light. A landscaped rooftop terrace abuts the greenhouse and provides outdoor instructional and study area.
