About this project
47,446 NSF of laboratory and laboratory support space in a 108,498 GSF building for the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, and Physics. Facility includes instructional laboratories for General Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Geology, Oceanography, and Physics. A Chemistry Research Laboratory and a Microbiology/Molecular Biology Research Laboratory provide facilities for hands-on student research and independent projects. Specialized Laboratory Support spaces include a Vivarium, Preserved Specimen Storage, Cadaver Room, Autoclave, Organic Chemistry Instrument Room, Laboratory Waste Storage, and a Field Equipment Cleaning and Storage area, plus dedicated Prep and Storage rooms appropriate for each discipline.
