About this project
The Integrated Science and Engineering Building at Gonzaga University has been designed to create communal and collaborative spaces for both its College of Arts and Science, and the School of Engineering and Applied Science. The 80,000+ gross square foot facility provides coffee and food, classrooms, and study and research spaces to expose students to, and encourage collaboration between the academically diverse disciplines within engineering and the sciences. Student/Faculty research laboratories for Psychology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Environmental Sciences coexist on the same floors with Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering research laboratories, and well-appointed Shops and Student Project labs for the same disciplines. In addition to traditional classroom spaces, larger “innovation studios” have been developed to accommodate a wide range of faculty-student interactions and technologies.
