About this project
The new 163,288 square-foot science facility at San Jose State University is designed to create a collaborative atmosphere for faculty-led student research. The eight-story Interdisciplinary Science Building will house teaching and research laboratories for both undergraduate and graduate students in programs for Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Science Education. Conference spaces and mentoring hubs will be available to students to work on interdisciplinary projects, connect with faculty, and meet with industry partners at every level. Research laboratories will be outfitted with modern and adaptable casework systems to accommodate both current and future research needs. Core laboratory facilities will include a Microscopy Suite for high-end scopes, and a NMR Imaging Core for new 500 MHz and 700 MHz magnets.
