About this project
250,000 net square feet of research laboratory space for a new zero-energy zero-carbon footprint campus with a research focus on alternative energy sources, distribution and technology. The project is based on a highly flexible bench laboratory concept which will maximize interaction and collaboration. Specialized assigned support laboratories include laser laboratories, an engine performance laboratory, a gasifier laboratory, and an environmental testing chamber laboratory. Core laboratory facilities include a comprehensive machine/wood shop, an imaging suite, and a cleanroom. The laboratories have been designed using the highest level of sustainability addressing issues such as material sourcing and transport, localized process exhaust systems, and optimization of airflow system operations.
