About this project

40,336 NSF of laboratory and laboratory support space in a 102,328 GSF Building for the Department of Natural Sciences. Facility includes the complete renovation of spaces to house the disciplines of Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences, and Biomedical Sciences.  Laboratory spaces include twenty-two faculty research laboratories and General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, General Biology, Organismal Biology, Environmental Biology, Geology, and Physiology teaching laboratories. Specialized support spaces include instrument rooms, laser spectroscopy, SEM, confocal microscopy, tissue culture, histology, controlled environment room, growth chamber rooms, organismal collections, chemical storage, solutions prep and dispensing, autoclave/glasswash, student projects, rock prep and storage, animal facility suite, electronics and machine shops, chemical waste collection, mud room, field equipment storage, and teaching lab prep rooms.
