About this project

The development extends the Genome Campus to accommodate additional facilities for academic and commercial research efforts. The development maintains the pivotal role of the Genome Campus and accommodates a greater number of academics on the site, maintaining its status as a centre of excellence; facilitate the emergence of ‘start-up’ businesses from this academic base; attract ‘spin-off’ businesses from established companies in the sector; and facilitate the flow of information between the academic and healthcare sectors. Once companies located on the site reach maturity and are able to develop products, they will move off site to make space for new start-ups and growing companies.
